Bacon Green Beans
These are the best green beans you can make and they are super easy.

Ingredients
- 4 slices applewood smoked bacon diced (raw)
- ½ medium yellow onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 16 oz cans green beans juice reserved
- 1 tbsp Bourbon Barrel Smoked Sugar
- ½ tsp Bourbon Barrel Smoked Pepper
- ½ tsp Bourbon Barrel Smoked Sea Salt
Instructions
- In a medium sauce pot, cook the bacon on medium heat until almost done
- Add onion, cook until translucent
- Add garlic, cook for 1 minute
- Pour the reserved green bean juice into the sauce pot
- Add the spices; increase heat to bring to a boil
- Reduce heat to low, add the green beans to the pot
- Simmer on low for 20 minutes
Notes
The Bourbon Barrel Smoked spices are from Bourbon Barrel Foods. They have a number of smoked spices that can add a bit of zing to all of your old recipes.
